A fine dining restaurant in Cala’n Bosch.
Born from the spirit of Menorca.
THE ORIGIN
A restaurant born from the light of Menorca.
Some restaurants are defined by the chef at the helm; others, by the land to which they belong. Situated within the Casas del Lago 5* Hotel, overlooking the Cala’n Bosch marina, Micat is born from the union of both.
Envisioned by chef Luis Valls, following his acclaimed tenure leading Two-MICHELIN-Starred El Poblet, Micat emerges with the purpose of interpreting Menorca’s identity through a contemporary lens.
Its name takes inspiration from the Micat: that fleeting glimmer of light reflecting across the waters of the Cala’n Bosch marina. A subtle, luminous moment that symbolizes the island’s essence and lends its name to a gastronomic experience deeply bound to its origin.
Rather than simply reinterpreting tradition, Micat seeks to uncover it from a renewed perspective. It is a cuisine where the landscape, local produce and Menorca’s culinary legacy find a contemporary, elegant expression that remains profoundly respectful of the land.
The island is
the beginning of everything.
Before technique, nature exists.
Before creativity, there is origin.
At Micat, Menorca is not a backdrop. It is the soul of every creation.
Technique held in service of the ingredient.
True mastery never seeks the spotlight. Its purpose is to reveal the pure essence of each ingredient with absolute fidelity.
Every preparation, every reduced broth, every texture and every finish answers to a singular intention: to elevate the product without altering its identity. At Micat, technique accompanies with quiet discretion, allowing flavor, balance and origin to always take center stage.
Thus emerges a cuisine where sophistication is expressed with natural ease, precision is felt in every detail and elegance lies in doing only what the ingredient truly needs.
Menorca, inspiration and origin.
All great cuisine springs from a sense of place.
At Micat, that place is Menorca. Its coastline, its landscape, the richness of its soil and the legacy of those who have worked the land for generations give shape to a cuisine that begins long before reaching the stove.
Fishermen, farmers and boutique local producers form an integral part of a creative process in which every ingredient reaches the table with the island’s identity already woven into it.
Here, terroir extends far beyond inspiration. It is the creative starting point for every menu, the root of every flavor and the essence that gives meaning to every creation.
A restaurant in Cala’n Bosch with a singular identity.
A truly great gastronomic experience transcends the plate.
Designed as an adults-only sanctuary, Micat weaves together architecture, natural light, artisan ceramics, refined service and the unhurried cadence of the dining room with the very same precision that goes into crafting each menu.
Nothing seeks to draw attention to itself for its own sake. Every element has been curated to foster an elegant, serene atmosphere where conversation flows, flavors linger and time seems to stand still.
Because truly memorable experiences never need to make noise.
An experience that transcends the table.
At Micat, every dish, every wine and every nuance forms part of a single narrative. Cuisine, hospitality and surroundings merge naturally to create moments that endure long after the final course.
Because the most cherished memories are not merely served on a plate. They are lived.
